Quaker worship takes place when two or more people feel the need to be still together.
The Bridgend Meeting for Worship takes place every Sunday at 10.30am at the Friends’ Meeting House at Park Street. This is on the right hand side as you go down the hill into Bridgend and almost opposite the entrance to the Coed Parc Reference Library. As can be seen from the photograph, it is clearly signposted.
There will always be someone at the door to welcome you, and the meeting starts once the first friend is seated, and continues until 11.30, when it is termintated by the Friends shaking each other's hands. During this time, if anyone feels moved to speak, then he or she is free to do so. However, there are times when the whole meeting for worship passes by in silence.
After this there is a time of silence and an opportunity to comment upon and discuss what may have been said in the meeting and this is, in turn, is followed by a cup of tea and an opportunity to discuss matters of concern to the meeting.

On the fifth Sunday of the month (if there is one), there is usually a shared lunch after the the Meeting and this provides an opportunity to meet Friends in a socially relaxed atmosphere.
